Verdict

La Dolce Vita attempted to make all over this trip at Gowran but couldn’t quite hold on. She’s certain to make a bold bid again but PIVOTAL TRIGGER, who was a couple of lengths behind in fifth, will have learnt plenty from the experience and can reverse the form and take this. Vernet couldn’t get close to subsequent Group 2 winner Statuette over an extended 5f at Navan but stayed on late while Long Count looks best of Jim Bolger’s pair. The 450,000gns Frankel colt Hans Anderson is out of a two-year-old Listed winner.
